Entrepreneurship and Start-ups — BTEUP CSE 6th Semester Syllabus 2026-27

Entrepreneurship and Start-ups — What This Subject Is About

Entrepreneurship and Start-ups is the 6th semester's humanities subject — 100 marks, 2 credits — and it teaches something no programming subject does: how a business is born. It starts with what an entrepreneur is and how businesses are structured, then moves to finding a business idea, turning it into a start-up, marketing it, managing it, financing it and protecting it with intellectual property rights.

This is also the subject that appears in both pathways of the final semester. In the Normal Pathway it is subject 6.2, examined like any other theory paper. In the Industrial Pathway it is taken online and is mandatory. Either way, the syllabus is the same six units — from the first definition of entrepreneurship to succession, dissolution and harvesting strategy.

Subject 6.2 (Humanities — Theory) • Total 100 Marks • 2 Credits • L 2 • 6th Semester — Computer Science & Engineering • Session 2026–27
