छठा सेमेस्टर आ गया — diploma का आखिरी सेमेस्टर

छठा सेमेस्टर diploma का आखिरी semester है — और इसमें एक ही चीज़ हावी रहती है: major Project, जो 400 अंकों और 12 क्रेडिट का है। यह वही project है जिसे आपने 5th semester में चुना था, अब उसे जारी रखकर पूरा किया जाता है, detailed report और final presentation के साथ। इसके आसपास दो और चुनाव हैं — एक Program Elective-02, एक Open Elective-02 — साथ में Entrepreneurship and Start-up, और SCA।

1. Construction Management (Program Elective-02, Option A)

Construction site अपने आप में एक छोटा संगठन है — engineers, contractors, मज़दूर, materials, machines, पैसा और deadlines, सब एक साथ चलते हुए। Construction Management Program Elective-02, Option A है (या आप Advance Construction Technology ले सकते हैं)। यह आपको उस संगठन को चलाना सिखाता है: काम की योजना बनाना, उसे schedule करना, site को organise करना, हिसाब रखना, quality control करना और लोगों को सुरक्षित रखना।

2. Advance Construction Technology (Program Elective-02, Option B)

आधुनिक construction अब सिर्फ़ ईंट और mortar नहीं रहा — वह ready mix concrete, tower cranes, prefabricated panels, tunnel boring machines और self-compacting concrete है। Advance Construction Technology Program Elective-02, Option B है (या आप Construction Management ले सकते हैं)। यह बड़े आधुनिक projects में इस्तेमाल होने वाली advanced materials, methods और machines का दौरा है।

3. Entrepreneurship and Start-up (Theory)

हर civil engineer किसी और के लिए काम नहीं करता — कुछ अपनी contracting firm, consultancy या construction business शुरू करते हैं। Entrepreneurship and Start-up 6th semester का वह विषय है जो आपको यही सिखाता है। यह 100 अंकों और 2 क्रेडिट का theory विषय है, और भविष्य के contractor के लिए यह diploma के किसी भी technical विषय जितना ही उपयोगी है।

4. Renewable Energy Technology (Open Elective-02, Option A)

छठा सेमेस्टर की तैयारी कैसे करें — एक practical तरीका

Project को आखिरी महीने की घबराहट नहीं, हफ़्तेवार आदत बनाइए: diary और report को पहले हफ़्ते से बढ़ाते रहिए, क्योंकि दो progress presentations (प्रत्येक 50 अंक) semester के दौरान होती हैं। अपना Program Elective-02 उस काम से चुनिए जो आप करना चाहते हैं — sites चलानी हैं तो Construction Management, आधुनिक methods और machines के साथ काम करना है तो Advance Construction Technology। और अगर आप Industrial Pathway पर विचार कर रहे हैं, तो उसे जल्दी arrange कीजिए: industry registered होनी चाहिए और एक faculty mentor depute किया जाना चाहिए।

Project & Student Centred Activities

Project — यह क्या है

Civil engineering diploma छात्रों के लिए major projects इसलिए ज़रूरी हैं क्योंकि उनसे ये फायदे मिलते हैं: theoretical knowledge को असली दुनिया की समस्याओं पर लागू करना; problem-solving और teamwork जैसी critical skills विकसित करना; tools और technologies के साथ hands-on अनुभव देना; innovation और creativity को बढ़ावा देना; initiative और independence दिखाकर छात्रों को उनके career के लिए तैयार करना; industry standards से परिचित कराना। नोट: जो project 5th semester में चुना गया था, वह 6th semester में जारी रहेगा। Major project activity के रूप में हर छात्र को site पर operations का अध्ययन करना होता है और अपने observations / processes / activities की detailed project report तैयार करनी होती है। छात्रों को संबंधित subject teachers guide करते हैं। हर teacher 4 से 5 छात्रों के group को guide कर सकता है। Teachers, field supervisors/engineers के साथ, छात्रों के performance assessment का संचालन करते हैं।

Project Assessment — Internal (240 अंक, जैसे छपा है)

• Project Progress Presentation-I — 50

PDF में discrepancy: ये पाँचों criteria मिलकर 290 होते हैं (40 + 50 + 50 + 90 + 60), छपा हुआ total 240 नहीं। Scheme में project के 240 internal + 160 external = 400 अंक दिए गए हैं।

छठा सेमेस्टर — Industrial Pathway (Classroom Route का विकल्प)

6th semester इसके बजाय एक semester के Industrial Training / Internship pathway के रूप में भी किया जा सकता है (वैकल्पिक, usual classroom training के साथ)। Total: 20 क्रेडिट, 650 अंक। (1) 6.1 Entrepreneurship and Start-ups (ONLINE mode) — Humanities & Social Science (Theory), 100 अंक, Board of Technical Education, Lucknow द्वारा आयोजित 3 घंटे की external theory exam; यह course industrial mode में अनिवार्य है और छात्र के polytechnic द्वारा online आयोजित किया जाता है। (2) 6.2 Industrial Hands On Practice — Industrial Training, 350 अंक (150* faculty mentor द्वारा मूल्यांकित + 200** industry द्वारा)। (3) 6.3 Industrial Project — Industrial Training, 100 अंक (50* faculty mentor + 50** industry)। (4) 6.4 Seminar — in-house, 100 अंक internal, institute में expert committee के सामने seminar presentation / viva-voce। नियम: industrial training की अवधि 14 हफ़्तों से कम नहीं होनी चाहिए; industry MSME / Directorate of Industries / Limited Organisation / State/Central Government establishments के साथ registered होनी चाहिए; internship के दौरान intern/trainee की monthly progress reports industrial supervisor द्वारा attest करके forward की जानी चाहिए; industrial unit/organisation को polytechnic द्वारा दिए गए format में अंकों के रूप में छात्रों का मूल्यांकन करना चाहिए; Industrial Hands On Practice, Industrial Project और Seminar का मूल्यांकन AICTE Internship Policy: Guidelines and Procedures (Chapter 9, Procedures/format for organising internship) के आधार पर होना चाहिए। Institute कम से कम 20–30 छात्रों के लिए एक faculty member को mentor के रूप में depute करेगा; mentors internship site पर छात्रों की उपस्थिति physically check करने के लिए surprise visit कर सकते हैं। Industry attendance, discipline और punctuality, tools और material की जानकारी, engineering skills, ज्ञान का उपयोग और problem-solving skills, comprehension और observation, professional ethics, safety और environmental consciousness, communication skills, supervisory skills और general conduct का आकलन करती है।

Student Centred Activities (SCA) — 50 अंक

Overall personality development के लिए प्रावधान, जिसमें co-curricular activities शामिल हैं जैसे extension lectures, games, hobby clubs (उदाहरण के लिए photography, painting और singing), seminars, declamation contests, educational field visits, NCC, NSS, library work, cultural activities और self-study। SCA के अधिकतम अंक: 50, इस प्रकार बाँटे गए हैं: (i) general behaviour और discipline के लिए 15 अंक (विभाग के सभी teachers से सलाह करके HODs द्वारा); (ii) attendance के लिए 10 अंक — 75–80% = 6 अंक, 80–85% = 8 अंक, 85% से ऊपर = 10 अंक; (iii) sports / NCC / cultural / co-curricular / NSS activities के लिए अधिकतम 25 अंक — state/national level participation के लिए 25, उपरोक्त में से दो activities में participation के लिए 20, inter-polytechnic level के लिए 15। नोट: अलग-अलग subjects के internal sessional में attendance के कोई अंक नहीं होने चाहिए।
