About the PDF — What It Is, How It Is Made, How to Use It
This PDF is compiled from the official BTEUP 2026-27 curriculum, under NEP-2020, approved 16.07.2026 where verified, and prepared by KAMALDNP Academy, Varanasi. The 1st-year, 3rd, 5th and 6th semester pages follow the official BTEUP scheme exactly — paper codes, marks, credits and L–T–P hours as printed. The official 1st-year curriculum gives no paper codes — subjects are numbered 1.1–1.6 and 2.1–2.7 only. The 4th-semester page lists only the verified subject names. Nothing in this PDF is guessed.
How to download: scroll to the download section at the bottom of this page and click Download. A 15-second timer runs, then the PDF downloads automatically to your device. It is completely free.
How to use it: open the contents page on page 2 — it gives the starting page of every subject. Find your semester, then your subject: each subject starts on a new page, with its examination scheme table (marks and credits), unit-wise topics, practicals where they apply, and reference books. Print only the pages you need, or keep the whole file on your phone for the full three years.
1st Year (Common for All Branches)
The first year is the same for all 41 engineering branches of BTEUP. These 11 subjects are the foundation everything later stands on — maths, science, communication, drawing, workshop and computers.

About the OR choices: at 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5 the institute chooses which alternative runs in the 1st semester; the other alternative then runs in the 2nd semester (1.3 ↔ 2.3, 1.4 ↔ 2.4, 1.5 ↔ 2.6). An alternative once selected in the 1st semester is not selected again in the 2nd semester. No paper codes: the official 1st-year curriculum gives no paper codes — subjects are numbered 1.1–1.6 in the 1st semester and 2.1–2.7 in the 2nd semester only. Qualifying subject: Environmental Sciences (2.7, Q) is an audit subject — you must appear and pass, but its 60 external marks are not counted for percentage or division.

6th Semester — Scheme (650 Marks, 20 Credits)
The 6th semester is the final semester of the diploma — and it is dominated by one thing: the In House Project, worth 400 marks and 12 credits. Around it sit two choices — a Program Elective-4 and an Open Elective-3 — plus Entrepreneurship and Start-ups, and SCA.
| Subject | Code | Type | Credits | Marks |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Program Elective-4: Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence OR Data Science and Machine Learning | 6.1 | Theory | 4 | 100 |
| Entrepreneurship and Start-ups | 6.2 | Theory | 2 | 100 |
| In House Project | 6.3 | Project | 12 | 400 |

| Student Centred Activities (SCA) | — | Activity | — | 50 |
| Total | 20 | 650 |
Open Elective-3 (50 marks) is qualifying: you must appear and pass, but its marks are not counted in the 650-mark total. In Program Elective-4 choose either Artificial Intelligence or Data Science and Machine Learning; in Open Elective-3 choose either Disaster Management or Renewable Energy Technologies, or an Advance Skill Development certification course in its place.
- Program Elective-4 — One elective, two directions: specialise in Artificial Intelligence, or in Data Science and Machine Learning, through a single 4-credit theory paper examined for 100 marks. Subject post | PDF
- Entrepreneurship and Start-ups — Entrepreneurship as a skill you can learn: idea, market, funding, pricing and a business plan, step by step — including innovation, wealth creation and societal impact. Subject post | PDF
- In House Project — The biggest single item in the whole diploma: apply, in totality, the knowledge and skills gained through the course work — programming, databases, web technologies, networks and everything else — to solve one real problem or build one working project. Subject post | PDF
- Open Elective-3 — One qualifying elective, two very different worlds: managing disasters, or harvesting energy from sun, wind and biomass. Subject post | PDF
Industrial Pathway — an alternative to the classroom route: instead of the Normal Pathway, a student may take one semester of industrial training (not less than 14 weeks) worth the same 20 credits and 650 marks — Entrepreneurship and Start-ups (Online) 100 marks, Industrial Hands On Practice 350 marks, Industrial Project 100 marks, and a Seminar 100 marks.
